Home Sweet Home.... PLEASE?

Yet another interesting endeavor for the Boosalis family! 10 moves in 4 years and each one has been drama filled. So our original move in date was May 13th. We have been told that we would have closing docs "tomorrow" at least five times and have gone days at a time without any news at all from our lender. This process has been so stressful and emotional for us. We are currently living at Justin's Moms house which has been a blessing because we have been able to save the money needed for the down payment. However... every rose has it's thorn. With the 4 of us, Justin's mom and Justin's older brother all living in one house.... there are a few issues as you can imagine.
It was so exciting and fun watching the home be built and picking out all of our options. We enjoyed meeting our neighbors at one of the first walk throughs and looked forward to all moving in at the same time. Now the fun and excitement is long gone and our neighbors have been in there homes for two weeks while ours is the only one on the street sitting empty.

I spent all day yesterday calling and emailing our lender in an attempt to get some kind of answer. Finally, I heard from him.... and it wasn't what we were hoping to hear.

As of May 1st he has decided to leave the company that he was with when we started the process. The original underwriter who gave us our approval months ago has left the company as well so our file was given to a new underwriter. This new underwriter is where the problem is. So, our loan officer is running our file through his new company as well as his new company to see who can get it done first.

As of last night the lender said that he was working as hard as he could to fix this mess and that he was very sorry for what it has done to us. He told Justin last night that he was really hoping to have loan docs by this afternoon and he has been communicating with Justin this morning.

I don't have much faith in our Loan Officer or either of his companies at this point but I do believe that it isn't in his hands anyways, it's in the Lord's hands. I do believe that with all the prayers we've been sending up that it could still happen before this weekend. So, we will see how the day plays out.....
